Singapore banks are unlikely to ditch their strategies for the Greater China region despite the mainland's uneven economy as the area is key for medium-term growth.

The banks may adopt a targeted approach in the near term, but improving weak risk-return underwriting in the region will take time.

Risks are manageable, and the banks' bond spreads are likely to be rangebound in 2H2025 on solid credit.
