Unlike comparable peers like Ethereum (ETH) and Avalanche (AVAX), BNB has rather limited use cases. Thus far, its use cases remains almost entirely on decentralised exchanges, lending protocols and liquid staking which Kendrick says makes it a much more ‘concentrated’ and ‘old fashioned’ smart contact platform compared to ETH and AVAX.
Standard Chartered’s Global Head of Digital Assets Research, Geoff Kendrick, recently initiated formal coverage of Binance’s exchange token, BNB, in a May 6 report and he believes that BNB will be capable of reaching price level heights of US$1,275 ($1,652.78) from the roughly US$610 current price by end-2025 and US$2,775 by end 2028 before maintaining its price through 2029.
As Binance's native cryptocurrency, BNB was created by the Binance exchange back in 2017 via an initial coin offering and was initially issued as a token on the Ethereum Blockchain before migrating to Binance’s smart contract layer-1 platform, BNB chain, in 2019.
