Yong bought the shares just days after the telco on Feb 19 reported better 3QFY2025 earnings, and where it raised its ebit guidance. It also laid down a FY2025 total dividend payout guidance of 16.5 cents per share, up from 15 cents paid for FY2024.
Yong Ying-I, an independent director of Singapore Telecommunications (SGX:Z74) , on Feb 24 paid $98,400 for 30,000 Singtel shares, which works out to $3.28 each. She now holds 60,000 Singtel shares.
Yong, a former senior civil servant, joined Singtel's board on Nov 2022. She is chairman of the board's risk, sustainability and technology committee.
