Boustead Singapore has announced the appointment of Mak Lye Mun as an independent non-executive director of the company, from July 29.
Mak is currently a member of the inaugural SGX Listings and Advisory Committee as well as the Listing Committee for ADDX (ICHX Tech) which looks into investments in private equities, hedge funds and unicorns.
He also holds positions in SGX-listed companies such as at Intraco Limited and Hwa Hong Corporation.
Mak serves as an independent non-executive chairman at both companies and is also a member of the audit and remuneration committee at Intraco Limited.
Further to the appointment of Mak, Boustead’s board has also made some changes to its board committees.
Its other independent non-executive directors are Liak Teng Lit, Godfrey Ernest Scotchbrook and Tan Khee Giap. Its executive director and deputy CEO is Wong Yu Loon while its chairman and group CEO is still Wong Fong Fui.

Shares in Boustead Singapore closed flat at $1.19, before the regulatory announcement on July 29.
