Keppel Corporation has created two leadership positions to sharpen the group’s focus on digital transformation and sustainability.

The move – will the see the appointment of Manjot Singh Mann as chief digital officer (CDO) and Ho Tong Yen as chief sustainability officer (CSO).

As part of his role as CDO, Mann – who has been the CEO and director of telco M1 since 2018 – will lead the group’s digital strategy.

The 56-year-old also serves as a director of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation.

Prior to his appointments, Mann was the CEO of Pareteum Asia, a cloud software platform. Here, he aided in the expansion of the NASFAQ-listed Pareteum Corporation’s footprint in Asia.

Other positions Mann has held include global CEO for communications and convergence for Lebara Mobile in the UK and chief executive Hutchinson Telecommunications in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Ho – who joined Keppel Group in 2010 – is presently director of group corporate communications. The 51-year-old is also the chief executive of Keppel Care Foundation – the group’s philanthropic arm.

He was previously the chief executive of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development. Other appointments held include being a Singapore diplomat and serving as Press Secretary to the then senior minister Goh Chok Tong in the Prime Minister’s Office.

The appointment of Mann and Ho - which will take effect on Mar 1 - are in line with Keppel Corporation’s Vision 2030 which looks into the group’s long-term strategy and transformation.

Shares in Keppel Corp closed down a cent or 0.17% at $5.89 on Feb 7, before the announcement.
