SINGAPORE (Nov 15): Power company AusNet Services this morning reported a 14.1% increase in first half earnings to A$203.7 million ($210.5 million) from A$178.6 million after the energy network operator benefited from a colder winter.
Revenue for the half year ended Sept rose 4.7% to A$1.07 billion from A$1.02 billion a year ago. AusNet, an associate company of Singapore Power, says regulated revenue increased in both electricity and gas distribution due to price, higher volumes a colder winter and customer growth.
AusNet has declared an interim dividend of 4.63 Australian cents per share, about 0.23 Australian cent per share higher than the dividend from the corresponding period last year.
The dividends will be paid out on Dec 21.
