Increased operating expenses, driven by inflationary pressures on rents and wages, combined with a fair value adjustment on investment properties, led to earnings decline.

The Hour Glass Group has reported lower earnings for the full year ended March 31, 2025 of $135.8 million, down 13% y-o-y. For the 2HFY2025, earnings declined 6% y-o-y to $74.4 million.

The group's revenue for the full year grew 3% y-o-y to $1.162 billion, while revenue for the 2HFY2025 grew 9% y-o-y to $622.6 million.

The group says that increased operating expenses, driven by inflationary pressures on rents and wages, combined with a fair value adjustment on investment properties, led to a 14% decline in profit after tax to $136.1 million.
