All 44,000 Maybank employees will gain access to Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing them to offload routine work (such as drafting emails, summarising reports and more) to the intelligent assistant. Microsoft 365 Copilot could also help the bank streamline its internal processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
Maybank is committing RM1 billion ($304 million) over five years in a strategic partnership with Microsoft to modernise its technology infrastructure, boost workforce productivity, and embed artificial intelligence (AI) across its Asean operations and beyond.
It will adopt Microsoft Azure as one of its core cloud platforms for mission-critical systems, data workloads, and key functions. By having a more scalable, resilient and secure foundation, Maybank will be able to leverage real-time data analytics, deploy new services faster, and boost operational efficiency.
