*Exceptional design & Reno journey. Alan is truly a professional. We all know how tiring renovation works can be. And we had to start hunting for my ID while I had work overseas. Not knowing where to start, my wife decided to attend a Home by Hitcheed event. There’s where she met Alan Lui from The Interior Place. Just a 20 minute conversation and she knew Alan was a highly experienced professional. He definitely is a knowledgeable designer with excellent project management skills. I just knew he was gonna be our ID. After discussions and zoom meetings even with my husband being overseas, Alan understood our design style and preferences, and created a 4K photorealistic 3D interactive model of our final designs so we could see exactly what our home would look like before construction began. This helped to eliminate any potential disputes and ensure that we were happy with the final outcome. Alan was always on hand to answer our questions and provide guidance throughout the design and construction process. He also worked closely with his team of contractors to ensure that the project was completed on time and within budget. There were no hidden costs, and any minor rectification works that were needed were completed within two weeks of handover. We are absolutely thrilled with our new home, and we couldn't have asked for a better interior designer than Alan. ID: Alan?? We had an amazing renovation journey with Alan! His knowledge in interior design is second to none. After meeting with a few designers for our bto flat, we fell in love with his proposed design. He incorporate our raw ideas, refine it and added his own elements. The proportion of individual spaces, overall colours and ambience are all perfect! He takes into account storage space, functionality and design, in creating our dream home. Though there are hiccups along the way, he is prompt in addressing our concerns, except on Sundays which we understand is a family day for him. Most importantly, he has a team of skilled and experienced sub contractors working with him. They are willing to rectify any problems, be it small or big, in a timely manner. Very tolerant to our requests, going the extra mile to help us. We are very grateful to Alan and his sub cons! He gave us the confidence in believing him to deliver our dream home ?

I met Alan at a Hitcheed event and decided to engage TIP after speaking to several other IDs, as he exhibited flexible thinking and was prompt in his communications. He was also realistic and reasonable in communicating expectations and quotation prices — while still being able to come up with out-of-the-box solutions. Alan oversaw the project of my 3-room resale HDB unit while James coordinated the work on the ground. James' project management was excellent, and the work was completed ahead of schedule. There were some hiccups along the way, but both Alan and James always responded promptly. The most extensive overhaul of my 5-year unit that came in a well-kept condition was the renovation of the bathroom and toilet, which I wanted merged into one big bathroom. Most IDs did not appear confident about overhauling the space, but Alan came up with the solution of an interconnected door — which was better than what I had in mind. I enjoy my new bathroom every day! I did not want to refurbish my kitchen since it was my first and was pretty new. Alan helped to upgrade the space by changing out the doors of all the cabinetry. He also added a few more storage solutions, so the room now looks brand new and is more functional than before. The team also took the initiative to help me expand the construction of a feature wall that was initially meant to just cover the bomb shelter beside the bathroom, so the design now looks very much more cohesive. My family is very impressed with it. Overall, the service delivered by TIP was top-notch — James even helped me to lift a dryer to stack above the washing machine! And they are still helping me resolve some issues months after my move-in. TIP is not the cheapest — but it isn't the priciest either, and they worked well independently with no supervision — I didn't show up on-site at all during any of the major works or installations. Overall, I recommend Alan and James at TIP and look forward to having them renovate my kitchen in a few years when I finally figure out how I would use it.

He understood my needs and suggested ideas based on them. We highly recommend James from The Interior Place as he is such a great interior designer! He is patient and willing to listen to ideas yet enhancing the ideas of ours. He is also quick to respond to our needs. As with any other projects, there are always hiccups along the way, James shows his concern and will rectify the issues immediately. His even goes a mile to tidy things up in our house to ensure that the renovation goes smoothly for us. We met Jae from The Interior Place (TIP) at the Hitcheed event and recently completed handover of our renovated five-room flat. We are overall very happy with the result. We greatly appreciate Jae’s help with all aspects of the renovation. She has good design sense and was very thoughtful with her suggestions. She was able to tailor her recommendations to what we were looking for, even if we were not completely sure of the finer details. Although there were several hiccups along the way, Jae was very responsive and always tried her best to help us out, reaching out to her subcontractors for quick rectification. The cost of the renovation was quite reasonable. We also like the fact that TIP offers a complimentary 3D render compared to most other IDs which only offer a few 2D designs. This helped us to visualize the proposed designs better. The end result is a home that we will look forward to come home to everyday. Thank you, Jae!
