Environmental engineering firm Sanli Environmental has had its Myanmar operations disrupted due the country's ongoing political situation.

The company’s 60%-owned subsidiary Sanli Environmental (Myanmar) Company which provides engineering, construction and related services in Myanmar has been affected by the recent declaration of martial law in Yangon, where its office is located, on March 14.

This follows the announcement of a one-year state of emergency by Myanmar military on Feb 1, during which the military would be taking over the affairs of Myanmar. The military has further pledged to hold new elections after one year and operate in line with existing laws.
