Fullerton Fund Management (Fullerton) has partnered with Maybank Singapore to launch Fullerton Total Return Multi-Asset Income, a fund for investors to build their retirement wealth.

The fund is aimed at investors across three life stages - working adulthood, near retirement, and retirement - and seeks to generate regular income and long-term capital growth from a diversified range of assets.

Investors can choose between three share classes. Class A shares, aimed at working adults, reinvest all dividend payouts for further capital growth.

Class B shares, aimed at investors looking for an extra income stream, offer a monthly dividend payout.

Meanwhile, Class C shares offer a fixed monthly dividend payout of 6.88% per annum, which Fullerton and Maybank say will provide a regular income that supplements inventors’ existing retirement schemes.

The fund invests in a range of asset classes including global stocks for capital growth and Asian bonds across for yield, as well as cash and other permissible instruments (such as gold and commodities).

The fund is managed by Fullerton and is available exclusively through Maybank Singapore branches and website from May 31, with the target inception date of June 16.

A retirement survey released in April by Fullerton revealed that more Singaporeans have started retirement planning following Covid-19, with the financial uncertainties and low-interest rates nudging investors to take on more risk to achieve higher returns.

In addition, it was revealed that many Singaporeans now expect to get most of their retirement income from investment returns, via a mix of capital growth and income.

Jenny Sofian, CEO of Fullerton says the fund is well-placed to help investors build their retirement wealth. “Fullerton has a strong reputation and proven track record as a retirement solutions provider. This is premised on our ability to identify investment trends and opportunities over different market cycles,” she says.

Alvin Lee, Maybank’s head of group wealth management and community financial services Singapore, says the bank aims to be the bank of choice when it comes to retirement planning. “Two years ago, we launched the unique Maybank Passion Plus Programme for the silver generation. Now, together with Fullerton who has an established reputation in managing diversified retirement solutions, we have curated this fund to suit individuals from all walks of life.”
