SINGAPORE (Aug 20): Logistics and e-commerce solutions provider UrbanFox, a subsidiary of Keppel Logistics, is enlarging its Southeast Asia footprint.

Leveraging Keppel Logistics’ network, UrbanFox says it is expanding to Vietnam and Malaysia to support brands there in meeting their business-to-business and business-to-consumer demands.

This includes handling logistic needs from warehousing, inventory management and last-mile fulfilment, as well as marketing products on online marketplaces.

Since its launch in October 2017, UrbanFox now manages the logistics and e-commerce needs of over 500 brands. This encompasses over 20,000 products across industries from food to books to fashion.

UrbanFox says that some of these brands are looking to tap on the overseas expansion to better serve customers in the region.

“The holistic support we can provide will help brands in the region more rapidly grow their customer base and tap cross-border opportunities,” says Joe Choa, managing director, UrbanFox.

UrbanFox has also tapped on Enterprise Singapore to establish online-to-offline capabilities at Estella Place shopping mall in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This was done in conjunction with Keppel Land, which manages that mall.

Customers can now purchase the mall’s products at a physical store, or at a webstore with the option of in-mall collection or home delivery.

“The rise of e-commerce has led to growing regional demand for logistics infrastructure and services, creating many new growth opportunities for companies in the logistics industry,” says Law Chung Ming, director for Transport & Logistics, Enterprise Singapore.

“As Singapore strives to become a key player in global supply chain solutions, I encourage more local firms to partner Enterprise Singapore and tap on our market connections to explore deploying their suite of solutions in overseas markets,” he adds.

Meanwhile, in Malaysia, UrbanFox has been appointed by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation as a Cross-Border e-Commerce Initiative Partner.

The company is looking to set up a corporate office and a warehouse in Shah Alam, Selangor.
