Kitchen Culture Holdings has filed a suit against the company’s former CEO Lim Wee Li, as well as two individuals, to recover $520,000 which it alleges is to have been paid for a wrongful purpose.

The legal action follows as July 31 announcement that the company has lodged a report with the Commercial Affairs Department over suspected payroll irregularities.

Besides Lim, the other two defendants are Du Kun and Wang Yanchao. No other details were disclosed in Kitchen Culture's SGX announcement, other than that they are "foreign nationals".

Kitchen Culture’s case is that Lim had breached his duties to KHL Marketing Asia Pacific, a subsidiary entity, and/or conspired with Du and Wang, to cause KHL to make these payments to Du and Wang for a wrongful purpose, or with no justification.
