Oiltek, on Jan 9, announced that a new refinery plant building at its customer’s premises in Malaysia was affected by a fire on the evening of Jan 6.
The plant is in the course of being commissioned for the customer.
There were no casualties or injuries, although part of the equipment supplied by Oiltek to its customer was damaged.
Oiltek says it will see if the fire incident will have any material impact on its financial results for the FY2023 ending Dec 31. The incident does not affect the group’s other ongoing projects.
Shares in Oiltek closed at 21.5 cents on Jan 6.
