Retail brokers Tiger Brokers (Singapore) and Phillip Securities, a member of PhillipCapital, were awarded runner-up for the Best Retail Broker Award at the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS) Investors’ Choice Awards 2022.

CGS-CIMB clinched the top prize at this year's annual awards.

“As a proponent of investor education, we are deeply honoured to be recognised for our efforts in keeping our investors well informed and empowered with the tools and skills to exercise smart and timely investment choices,” says Luke Lim, managing director of Phillip Securities.

“As a member of the investment community in Singapore, we strive to make continuous efforts towards a more vibrant investing scene where investor education becomes ubiquitous!” Lim adds.

Tiger Brokers (Singapore)’s CEO Eng Thiam Choon says, “The fact that we topped other platforms for this award is an attestation that the Tiger Brokers team is doing something right. Nonetheless, being runner-up in the retail brokerage category means that we still have room for improvement. The team has reasons to celebrate this small victory, however, more importantly, we need to continue investing and developing the platform, so that we can meet the evolving needs of our users.”

“We wish to take this opportunity to congratulate the other winners as well. I firmly believe that with the healthy competition that exists in the current market, the industry will continue to evolve and improve, which ultimately serves to benefit the general investing public in the long run,”, Eng adds.
