Shares in Advanced Systems Automation (SGX:5TY) opened at 2.7 cents on Sept 9, 35% higher than the company’s last-closed share price of 2 cents. The share price surge came after Advanced Systems Automation announced that its subsidiary, Lim Shrimp Organization, will co-develop an initial decision intelligence proof-of-concept for a shrimp farming intelligence centre with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Lim Shrimp Organization is a 50%-owned indirect subsidiary of the SGX-listed Advanced Systems.

According to Advanced Systems Automation, the shrimp farming intelligence centre will help in the digitalisation of aquaculture farming. Through the centre, the collection of big data and the application of modern analytics and artificial intelligence can help reduce costs and improve the operating procedures at participating farms.
