Silverlake Axis’ (SAL) offeror, E2I, has acquired 88,800 shares by way of open market shares for 36 cents per share, according to a dealings disclosure filed on the bourse on Oct 16. 

As a result, E2I — whose directors are founder of SAL Goh Peng Ooi and his daughter Shiou Ling among others — own 2.32 billion shares, along with its concert parties. The total percentage of shares owned by E2I and its concert parties amount to 92.27%.

On Oct 7, the company announced that it had lost its free float at the close of the market, with only 9.47% of the company’s shares in public hands. The news came after E2I bought 139,300 shares from the market on the same day at 36 cents apiece. The purchase brought the total stake of E2I and its concert parties to 90.53%.
