NutryFarm International’s wholly-owned subsidiary Global Agricapital (Thailand), has secured a new sales order of some RMB195 million ($40.6 million) on June 21.

The contract was signed with Moonda (Beijing) Agriculture Science and Technology Co for 300 containers of fresh durians from Thailand from July 1 to Dec 31.

Global Agricapital (Thailand) was recently incorporated in Thailand with a paid-up capital of 5 million baht ($212,889). It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Agricapital Holdings. Global Agricapital (Thailand) will operate and manage the group’s durian trading business in Thailand.

Global Agricapital Holdings had previously fulfilled its obligation for the purchase and shipment of 200 containers of fresh durians amounting to RMB130 million to Moonda as at April 30.

Global Agricapital (Thailand) had, separately, signed a new purchase agreement with Tianchue (Thailand) to entrust the latter to purchase an estimated volume of 200 containers of fresh durians in Thailand.

Tianchue will also guarantee the quality of goods shipped from Thailand, exercise strict quality control over the goods and abide by the payment contract terms.

Cheng Meng, NutryFarm’s executive director and CEO, says, “We are pleased to secure new sales order from Moonda and it reflects our customers’ confidence and trust in our abilities to procure and deliver high quality durians.”

“As we progressively fulfil the current order book on hand, we will also be proactively looking to secure new orders from existing and new customers in Asia,” he adds.

Shares in NutryFarm closed 6.5 cents higher or 17.8% up at 43 cents on June 21.
