The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has received “strategic, multi-year” grant funding from The Rockefeller Foundation, says the market-led global initiative on Jan 22.

The Rockefeller Foundation will join TNFD’s Stewardship Council, which currently includes members like the governments of the US, the UK, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany. According to TNFD, the primary responsibility of the Council is to uphold the seven principles guiding the work of the Taskforce as outlined in the 2021 Nature in Scope report, upon which the TNFD was launched.

Also on the Council are the four founding partners of the TNFD: Global Canopy, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI) and WWF.
