Amundi Asset Management has launched the Amundi SMART Portfolio 2025 that is partly managed by artificial intelligence (AI).
About 5.5% of the fund’s holdings will comprise a call option linked to returns generated by AiMAX5.
AiMAX5 is an AI-powered multi-asset index developed by HSBC and Equbot.
The European asset manager says AiMAX5 will enhance the fund’s overall total return by converting Big Data into investment insights.

The remainder 94.5% of the fund’s holdings, which will comprise global bonds, debt securities and other instruments, will be managed by Amundi’s fixed income team.
“This fund highlights our customised approach to create wealth solutions that meet the Singapore investor’s evolving needs and match distributors’ requirements,” says Eric Bramoullé, Amundi’s CEO of South Asia in a April 27 statement.
“Innovation is really at the heart of this solution, designed to capitalise on the power of A.I. that converts big data into investment insights,” he adds.
“The Amundi SMART Portfolio 2025 fund which incorporates the AiMAX5 index represents a new approach to multi-asset investing which combines cutting edge AI techniques and time-tested diversification strategies to balance risk and return,” says Deepak Khanna, Head, Wealth Products & Journeys, HSBC Bank (Singapore), in the same statement.
