According to the FT, citing data from IDC, the US accounted for about 28% of Apple's 2024 shipment of 232.1 million iPhones globally.
iPhone maker Apple plans to shift the assembly of all US-sold iPhones to India as soon as next year, according to the Financial Times, citing unnamed sources.
The move is meant to help Apple weather the impact of US tariffs on China, which is still the key production base of Apple products.
