SingEx-Sphere, the merged entity of Temasek Holdings and Singapore Press Holdings’ meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) arms, has announced its new name, Constellar.
The entity, which is jointly owned by Temasek and SPH through a 60:40 split, also announced the appointment of Jean-Francois Quentin as its new group CEO effective August 1.
Quentin was most recently divisional managing director at RX France (Reed Exhibitions). Previously, he was president and CEO of UBM Brazil (now part of Informa Markets), as well as CEO and a founding member of the management team of easyFairs from 2004 to 2014.
Quentin will lead Constellar as it aims to become a MICE industry champion in Asia-Pacific.
According to a press release dated June 23, the company will build on its extensive networks to offer a holistic portfolio of brands in the MICE industry, including events management, venue management and consultancy businesses. This portfolio will expand via both organic curation and inorganic investments.
