The manager of Cromwell European REIT has appointed Ooi Eng Peng as a non-independent non-executive director to the company’s board.
Ooi’s appointment is effective Sept 15.
Ooi, who primarily resides in Australia, comes with over 35 years of real estate experience. This includes experience in property investment, development, project management, as well as fund investment and management in Australia and across Asia.

Ooi is also currently the non-executive deputy chair on the board of directors of Cromwell Property Group.
The group comprises Cromwell Corporation Limited and the Cromwell Diversified Property Trust, which is a substantial unitholder of the REIT.
In addition, Ooi presently holds the position of deputy chairman of ESR-REIT. He was the chairman of the REIT from 2017 to 2021.
Prior to that, Ooi was non-executive director of Perennial Real Estate Holdings from 2015 to 2020.
As at 10.01am, units in Cromwell European REIT are trading 2 Euro cents lower or 0.76% down at EUR2.63.
