Tan, 63, is the chief defence scientist of the Singapore Ministry of Defence (Mindef). He was appointed to the role in May, succeeding Quek Gim Pew, who currently sits on the ST Engineering board.

Teo,69, is the present chairman of Temasek’s Vertex Venture Holdings, as well as a non-executive director of Temasek Holdings.
