Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a ministerial statement on the ongoing investigation involving Transport Minister S Iswaran and property billionaire Ong Beng Seng in parliament on Aug 2.

PM Lee will also address the resignations of former parliament speaker Tan Chuan-Jin and fellow ruling party lawmaker Cheng Li Hui, according to an order paper.

The parliament queries included the timeline for the probe’s disclosure. Opposition lawmakers also asked if the government received any requests from the UK related to Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone’s alleged undisclosed assets of $650 million in a Singapore bank.
