Satellite-based communication company Addvalue Technologies has secured an Inter-Satellite Data Relay System (IDRS) order from a new customer on Feb 10.
The order will see Addvalue Technologies supplying IDRS terminals as well as the provision of related airtime service.
The latest order now brings the total number of IDRS customers for Addvalue Technologies to eight. The order was secured by Addvalue Technologies’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Addvalue Innovation.
Due to non-disclosure obligations, the company is currently constrained from disclosing further details about the new order and its latest customer.
To date, seven of Addvalue Technologies’ terminals are operational in space and are generating airtime revenue.
According to the company, it is expected to see its airtime revenues increase as more IDRS terminals are expected to be commercialised in the coming months. The company is also expecting to receive more IDRS-related orders from its existing and new customers within the next 12 months and beyond.
