We all may be thankful for the face masks that help keep us free from the Covid-19 virus, but the “maskne” that comes from them can be pretty inconvenient. For those with sensitive skin like me, combating those pesky pimples is definitely the challenge of the century. Fortunately, Caring Skin has a solution.
The facial spa is highly rated on Facebook and Google, garnering thousands of positive reviews from its customers. It specialises in treating acne and sensitive skin using all-natural ingredients. The group’s dedicated team of professional beauticians will ensure that you have not only a relaxing and pampering time, but also clearer, smoother and brighter skin after just a single session.
Subrina Liew, founder of Caring Skin, says: “Clear and great skin does not happen by chance, it happens with an appointment. There are no shortcuts to a healthy skin journey – it takes hard work and dedication.
“Our plant-based products are ‘clean’ and do not contain preservatives with a shelf life of one year from the date of opening. Clean products are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. They are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, mineral oil-free, SLS-free, paraben-free and sulphate-free.”
Options had the opportunity to try two facial sessions at Caring Skin, and truth be told, it really does live up to its online hype, and so much more.

As someone with dry and sensitive skin, it has always been a challenge for me to enjoy luxurious facial products as my skin tends to react badly to them. But Caring Skin, being experienced at servicing with customers with sensitive skin, assured me that my skin will be refreshed after just one session.
Before starting the treatment, I was put through a skin analysis using a special cutting-edge machine. The VISIA analysis digital imaging system determines what your skin needs to look healthy, clear and glowy. Caring Skin is the only facial spa in Singapore to offer the latest seventh-generation VISIA Skin Analysis, as it does not believe in assessing skin conditions with the naked eye which could leave room for errors.
After the skin analysis, I tried the Rosa C3 facial ($280) that was recommended due to my dry skin. This treatment has a water-binding ability to prevent future damage from moisture loss, decrease skin irritation and create a warming sensation for circulation. The treatment also strengthens skin by reconstructing the capillaries membrane, significantly reduces redness, relieves discomfort and tight- ness, and immediately improves overall comfort.

The beautician took me through a nine-step routine of cleansing and exfoliating, as well as a painless extraction process and relaxing massages to my face and shoulders. Immediately after, my skin felt like it was reborn. There were no longer any dry patches and it was sporting a dewy sheen and even felt bouncy. This effect lasted for days even after washing my face and being under the sun. Although a single session shows significant difference, this treatment should be done at least once a month to ensure prolonged and continuous healthy skin.
A month later, I returned to the aesthetic salon for another treatment — the H2 Infusion Treatment ($298) — to help boost the moisture in my skin and improve its overall complexion. Featuring a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment from Korea, Caring Skin’s H2 Infusion treatment harnesses Hydrogen and Plasma Ions to deep cleanse, moisturise and refine congested, dull skin for clearer, brighter, plumped-up skin.
This 90-minute session was just as luxurious as the first one, with an eight-step procedure, which includes using a machine to infuse the plasma and/or hydrogen into the skin and a cold cryogenic activator machine to massage a booster serum into the skin.
Overall, both treatments were remarkable. My complexion turned from zero to hero in just two sessions. Furthermore, I was treated like a princess, thanks to the excellent service. The best thing? There was no hard-sell at all. Caring Skin relies heavily on its service and results for its marketing and true enough, it has me hooked.
Caring Skin has four outlets across Singapore, at JCube, Djitsun Mall, Ngee Ann City and Heartland Mall. Check out its website caringskin.com.sg for more information.
