SINGAPORE (June 10): You have been dieting and exercising for months so that you can show off your toned body at the beach. New complication
Patek Philippe has added a new complication to its calendar watches: the weekly calendar, a semi-integrated mechanism displaying — in addition to the day and the date — the current week number. The timepiece has a completely new self-winding movement, Calibre 26-330 S C J SE. The Calatrava Weekly Calendar Ref. 5212A- 001 has a sleek steel case — the only steel Calatrava in the manufacture’s regular collection. A silvery opaline dial is combined with a distinctive layout and great legibility. The typography was designed specifically for this timepiece and reproduces handwriting. Each letter and number is different and unique — a touch that recalls the notes jotted down in paper diaries. The timepiece has a light brown calfskin strap secured by a prong buckle in steel.
