Cortina Watch and independent Swiss watch brand H. Moser & Cie forge partnership
SINGAPORE (Sept 23): To celebrate a collaboration between Cortina Watch and H. Moser & Cie, a cocktail party was held at SKAI at Swissotel the Stamford last month. In attendance were invited guests, watch connoisseurs and members of the media. In his welcome speech, Jeremy Lim, chief operating officer of Cortina Watch, drew similarities between the two companies — both are family-run businesses whose success was built through years of experience and entrepreneurship. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie, concurred. “At Moser, we have a long-lasting tradition, a rich history, but we want to bring something creative, different and modern in everything we do, whether for product or marketing. We are very pleased to partner Singapore’s leading watch retailer Cortina and excited to bring our timepieces to this region.”
H. Moser & Cie timepieces will be distributed by Cortina’s distribution arm, Pacific Time, and are available exclusively at Cortina Watch’s Capitol Piazza and Paragon boutiques.
Presented in yellow gold
Launched in the 1930s, Patek Philippe’s famous World Time watch displays the time simultaneously in all 24 time zones. Beloved of seasoned travellers and collectors, the watch is renowned for its men’s models featuring a dial centre adorned with a planisphere in cloisonné enamel. Patek Philippe has now endowed this great classic with the same Calatrava-style case introduced in 2016 for the World Time Ref 5230 watches, with a hand-guillochéd dial centre, introduced as the new Ref 5231J-001 in yellow gold. It has prominent winglet-style lugs and a narrow, polished bezel. Its cloisonné enamel planisphere, representing Europe, Africa and the Americas, is made entirely by hand.
Perfect arm candy
The Guirlande de Cartier is an expression of function and design. Inspired by the luxury maison’s jewellery bags of the 1910s, the Must de Cartier collections of the late 1960s and the diversity of its collections in the new millennium, the new bag collection combines a wealth of history and artisanship. It is the essence of the maison distilled, with eight clean-cut facets carved into supple red, green or black calfskin and stamped with a gold frieze. The striking accessory is available in mini, small and medium sizes.
