SINGAPORE (May 21): Prada, well known for its clothes and leather goods, is making a foray into the world of fine jewellery. The collection features a fun interpretation of common objects as earrings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces. The gold items include guitars, roses and rabbits as well as robots, bananas and the brand’s triangular logo.

Prada’s fine jewellery items are made using 18-carat gold and diamonds from suppliers with Responsible Jewellery Council certification. RJC is a non-profit organisation founded in 2015 to promote responsible practices from an ethical, social and environmental point of view and respect for human rights in the handling of metals and precious stones, from their extraction right to their sale. Prada’s first jewellery collection is available in selected Prada boutiques and at www.prada.com.

One glittering moment

“Camp: Notes on Fashion” was the theme at this year’s Met Gala, and Lady Gaga had the right idea — she changed into three different outfits in 15 minutes. Apart from that, social media lit up with comments and images of her necklace. Gaga wore an 18-carat yellow-gold choker with diamonds from the 2019 Tiffany Blue Book Collection and a beautiful butterfly pendant made of 18-carat yellow gold that featured princess-cut diamonds totalling more than 28 carats.

The Montblanc boutique and pop-up is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Canal Level, #B2-64 and #B2-K015.

Zen moment

Whether you are shutting out the dull roar of traffic or a very chatty desk mate, Bose’s QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones wiII deliver impressive sound through pillowy-soft ear cushions. This updated version is equipped with Google Assistant, so you can fend off those pesky emails that would otherwise interrupt your Zen.

Flora and Fauna
