If there is one brand that is hot this season is Fauré Le Page with its Hot Fire Red, the second collection in the Gangsta series. This collection marks several firsts for the brand — one example is that it showcases the house’s hallmark Ecaille (or scales in English) emblem in grey canvas against a red background. Louis Vuitton continues its commitment to raise funds for children in need through its partnership with Unicef. This season LV launched four new colours of the iconic Silver Lockit bracelets and the new Doudou Louis. The four new Silver Lockit bracelets retail at $635 of which the equivalent of US$100 ($133.38) is donated to Unicef. Dior spring/summer 2021 haute couture fashion shows may be largely about the clothes, but it is also the makeup on the models that pull a look together. Edition by Héctor Bellerín is a collaboration with H&M and Spanish footballer Bellerín, who is famous for his style as well as his commitment to the environment. The Edition collection will be entirely made from sustainably sourced materials. For example, the cotton used is organic or recycled from textile production waste, nylons and polyesters are recycled while viscose fibres are from sustainable sources.
Bag It
Furla’s ‘it’ bag from its spring/summer 2021 is the Furla Miss Mimì, a stylish round shaped bag which comes in either crossbody and tote. The bag features a flap that closes with the characteristic metal cusp button, embellished with a small upside-down arch matched to a metal chain. The Furla Miss Mimì crossbody bag has two different sizes and a removable shoulder strap, while the Furla Miss Mimì tote bag is characterised by a double handle and a main zip closure.
