Runway inspirations, collected
Loewe’s fall/winter 2021 men’s runway and women’s precollection is presented in A Show in a Book, where guests are invited to explore Jonathan Anderson’s inspirations. It is a 200-page hardbound volume devoted to the graphic works of artist and writer Joe Brainard (1942-1994), author of the cult classic I Remember (1975). The book features rarely seen artwork, comics, printed matter and ephemera Brainard created during the 1960s and 1970s, with a preface by his close friend, the poet Ron Padgett, and an essay by art critic Éric Troncy.
