Say ‘hello’ to a new ambassador
Award-winning actress Anya Taylor-Joy, the new Ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre, made her debut with a short video “A Call of the Heart”. The image features the 26-year-old actress speaking on the phone, which has a dual meaning: One was the phone call she received welcoming her into La Grande Maison; the other was inspired by a historic phone call that was to have a profound impact on the Manufacture LeCoultre. In 1903, Jacques-David LeCoultre made a call to the Parisian watchmaker Edmond Jaeger to accept the latter’s challenge of creating an ultra-thin watch movement — beginning a long and fruitful collaboration that led to the formation of the Jaeger-LeCoultre company.
Star of the Netflix hit The Queen’s Gambit, Taylor-Joy will next be seen in David O Russell’s Amsterdam with Christian Bale and Margot Robbie.

Giorgio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2022 eyewear collection goes soft in its use of colours from amber honey to tobacco and everything in between. The model pictured has a textured rounded design moulded from brown streaked opal bio-acetate. The frame extends sideways with perforated blinkers and encases matching brown crystal lenses.

In a Barbie world
House of Dreams is a month-long multi-concept exhibition from now to Oct 21 that features more than 600 unique Barbie dolls. This collaboration is with Ion Orchard, Mattel and Signaporean Jian Yang, an entrepreneur and avid Barbie doll collector who owns one of Asia's largest collections of over 12,000 dolls. All the dolls in this unique showcase are from Yang’s collection. The first-of-its-kind exhibition here, supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, will feature a stunning collection of Barbie dolls, set against the landscape inspired by the Barbie Dreamhouse. Visitors can also capture creative photographs to celebrate their unique style in the special Barbie box photo booth.
