The bags are made by experimenting with sustainable production processes, and by applying new leather manufacturing techniques. One example is Oleum, the brand that identifies the biodegradable leather line produced by Cyclica; the bags follow a circular model for their production. The leathers are meant to become Oleum originate from traceable European farms, which are by-products of the food industry and are vegetable tanned with wastewater from oil production, thus avoiding the direct use of aldehydes and glyphosate. The result is that the leather is metal-free and environmentally non-toxic.
