After a good 18 months of silence from the fashion world, Brunello Cucinelli brings a message of hope through the Spring/ Summer 2022 collection for women

Since 1978, Brunello Cucinelli has kept true to its original idea of de- signing luxury wear and accessories that are timeless. Every piece is made by hand in Solomeo in Umbria, Italy.

This year’s Women’s Collection Spring/Summer 2022 is no different, and fans of the fashion house will love the Revolutionary Classics theme.
This collection offers a mood full of confidence and new stimuli, giving shape to a positive spirit that irradiates joy, energy and vitality. This uplifting spirit is translated to clothes that are carefree and breezy.

There are no restrictions here, as the silhouette is fluid, eclectic and versatile — striking a balance between elegance and self-assured ease.

Colours come in a happy and soothing palette that consists of vibrant reds, mineral yellows and bamboo green along with Brunello Cucinelli’s trademark neutral shades, that span from the lightest beiges to the most serene blues to every shade of grey.

Mesh takes centre stage but with a sporty twist, while perforated lamé leathers join lightweight poplins. Knitwear features wide, open stitches and tricot-style embroidery paired with noble and rustic materials to evoke a sense of freedom, lightness and ease.

Denim also runs through the entire collection, with new variations of blue or grey, lamé effects or an iconic detail that recalls western-style pockets in a sparkling variant, featuring in dresses and outerwear, on suedes and coloured silks.
The collection presents two main patterns: Geometric lines of argyle, drawn from the universe of sport and men’s clubs but done in crochet with luminous effects — all done with embroidery, jacquard fabrics and three-dimensional effects.

However, this collection is never complete without the sartorial accoutrements — we are talking about the accessories, of course. Colour also takes on an important role in accessories, where soft suedes, supple calfskin and precious nappa leathers express the idea of total colour that is both minimal and sophisticated at the same time.
Meanwhile, bonded surfaces enrich animalier prints with a three-dimensional and refined effect, combining natural inspirations and the Brunello Cucinelli aesthetic.

As for the footwear, blocks of tone are enhanced by manual workmanship and touches of light. Lightweight net gives a dynamic note to espadrilles whilst dense, handmade braiding gives unusual and sophisticated appeal to summer clogs and mules.

Also worthy of mention are the bags, which come in new, soft and functional forms or are increased in size to become important touches of colour in the creation of the season’s looks. Meshwork gives lightness and softness to voluminous forms or transforms bags into luxurious jewel accessories.

Finally, entirely hand-woven elements — inspired by wicker or argyle — confer discreet luxury to shoppers and bucket bags.
