Montblanc pays homage to the art and culture of Japan Montblanc collaborated with Chiso Co to produce the Montblanc Homage to Kyoto Artistry Limited Edition 55. The overall design is a specially created kimono pattern from Chiso, a famed traditional textile producer based in Kyoto. The cap features the palace and bird from The Tale of Genji, while the barrel depicts imperial carts. The traditional hanabishi pattern is engraved on the champagne-gold cone. The nib design takes inspiration from the kosode, a traditional Japanese robe. The writing instrument is presented in a box with silk inlay hand-painted by Chiso artisans and embellished with gold leaf. The Montblanc Homage to Kyoto Artistry Limited Edition 55 is priced at €27,000 ($42,737) and available at Montblanc boutiques worldwide.
