This year is no different, as the Geneva based brand showcased 70 pieces of colourful gems to commemorate the festival’s 70th anniversary.
Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, Brazilian model Adriana Lima, Canadian model Winnie Harlow, Lebanese singer-actress Hiba Tawaji and British-Thai actress Araya Hargate were some of the celebrities who graced the premiere of Les Fantômes d’Ismaël (The Ghosts of Ismael) in sparkly Chopard jewels.
The French drama film directed by Arnaud Desplechin stars Mathieu Amalric, Marion Cotillard, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Louis Garrel.
Yeoh stood out on the red carpet in a black and- white Gyunel Couture gown, paired with a Chopard necklace.
California dreaming
Chanel’s fall/winter make-up collection is based on a road trip through California. The lights and colours of the coastline and gritty downtown Los Angeles have been preserved in a beautiful palette by Lucia Pica, global creative make-up and colour designer for Chanel.
Gemsetting artistry perfected
Patek Philippe’s ladies’ Ref 4899 Haute Joaillerie wristwatch melds gemsetting expertise with watchmaking artistry.
It combines an ultra-thin self-winding calibre 240 movement that celebrates its 40th anniversary this year with 702 precious stones with an aggregate weight of 4.35 carats. They include 149 Top Wesselton brilliant-cut diamonds alternating with 182 brilliant-cut rose sapphires on the periphery of the dial.
The lower half of the dial features 98 rare white diamonds and 89 sapphires in varying rose hues.

Angelababy or Yang Ying, the new brand ambassador for Tag Heuer, truly embodies its DontCrackUnderPressure tag line. When not filming, the Beijing star has her hands full being a wife and mother. It opens with fresh pear, which makes way for elegant white Alba roses and rounds off with sensual cedarwood at the base. The bottle takes on a feminine oval shape, referencing many of Coach’s iconic codes, and has a spray cap shaped like a silver turnlock.
