The Berluti spring/summer 2018 collection is best described as an art show featuring abstract double exposures and the reworking of colours. If that sounds familiar, it is because the collection was inspired by Erwin Blumenfeld, the AmericanGerman photographer whose work is largely based on Dadaism and Surrealism. Blumenfeld is a master of colours, and the Berluti collection is a tapestry of summer shades. The light cashmere coats in the collection come in a variety of shades and silhouettes. Bags have black leather exteriors with dove-grey on the inside. and there are matching small leather goods and accessories. The Alessandro Oxford shoes are made of soft nubuck and the flat slippers are fashioned from a single piece of leather.
