Despite the encroachment of Casual Fridays and Silicon Valley-style dress codes, the business world has yet to see a freefor-all when it comes to dressing up — or down. And the fail-safe item most women would invariably turn to would be the jacket. There’s certainly no magic behind the classic jacket. Straight and structured, it immediately conveys a sense of “I mean business”. But for the longest time, it wasn’t the most comfortable thing to wear. The same could be said of women’s attire in general then.
