Sun, sea and sand make for one memorable Chopard party

Chopard co-president Caroline Scheufele threw a summer party on Aug 5 at Porto Cervo, on the Mediterranean Sea. This dazzling annual soirée had an enviable guest list and celebrities, models and personalities showed off the most gorgeous jewellery by Chopard.

Czech model Petra Nemcova selected a pair of earrings in 18ct white gold, set with pear-shaped emeralds (7.77cts) and round diamonds, an 18ct white-gold ring set with an octagonal step-cut emerald (5.6cts), and half-moon cut diamonds and diamonds — both from the High Jewellery Collection. She completed her look with a stunning bracelet from the Garden of Kalahari Collection in 18ct white “Fairmined” gold, set with two exceptional D-flawless emerald-cut diamonds of 21cts and 14.7cts, eight D-flawless brilliant-cut diamonds (5.1cts) and fully set with marquise-cut, brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds.

Romanian model Catrinel Marlon shone in a necklace from the Silk Road Collection, set with pear-shaped emeralds (105.55cts), tourmalines (73.21cts) and diamonds (52.37cts).

Brazilian model Emanuela de Paula dazzled in an 18ct white-gold necklace from the Silk Road Collection, set with a garnet (6.51cts), amethyst beads (302.66cts), sapphires (3.42cts), pearshaped diamonds (3.15cts), marquise-cut diamonds (4.89cts), pearshaped garnets (1.64cts), pear-shaped tourmalines and diamonds. She wore a matching ring in 18ct white gold, set with one garnet (1.74cts), sapphires, pear-shaped garnets and tourmalines.

Getting comfortable
Massimo Dutti’s fall and winter 2017/18 collection for women puts comfort first. The collection offers elegant dresses and shirts that are easy to move in, while winter coats and knitwear show off impeccable workmanship, such as invisible seams.

Candy girl
The Candy Gloss fragrance by Prada, created by Miuccia Prada along with Daniela Andrier, represents a new expression of women with its clever alchemy of ingredients. Vanilla-like almond infused with musk is paired with cherry, while orange blossom rounds off the scent, which is both uplifting and feminine.

Sleeping beauty

Desire an easy skincare regime? The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask is something you can wear to sleep. Experts have discovered that skin repairs itself at night. Therefore, leaving the mask on overnight will aid in purifying the skin, reducing pores and making the skin less oily.

Height of beauty
As it turns 40 years old, nothing highlights the distinctiveness of the ultra-thin, selfwinding calibre 240 movement as well as the skeletonised Calatrava, which has been a part of Patek Philippe’s regular collection since 2008. The new Calatrava Ref 5180/1R Squelette, in 18-carat rose gold 5N, showcases the rare craft of skeletonisation alongside magnificent engravings. Its calibre 240 SQU is accommodated in a round rosegold Calatrava case that is reduced to a narrow frame and places emphasis on the movement. With its large-format sapphire crystal glass and caseback, it assures total transparency and water resistance to 30m.

Links to the past
The new Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic introduces a metal bracelet with links inspired by the shape of the device that protects the winding crown. This is just like the first bracelet created by Panerai in 1999. The shape of each individual link recalls the iconic “bridge” device, and each one integrates perfectly with the rest, without any screws, to form

an ergonomic bracelet that is flexible and pleasant on the wrist. The dial is black, with large luminous beige markers and the seconds counter shows a small blue hand at 9 o’clock. The case is kept light and slim thanks to the fact that the automatic P.9010 calibre is only 6mm thick.
