The fashion shows for spring/summer 2021 — be it online or those held with a limited audience — are done and dusted. Here are some of the highlights.
Brunello Cucinelli
For the man who embodies the Brunello Cucinelli fashion DNA, it is never about following trends but about creating his own unique style. This season is all about creating a contemporary look through the collection that captures the summery air of peacefulness and relaxation, mostly created by the fine harmony between neutral tones. The wide array of warm beiges, greys and blues is dotted with fresh summer hues like cobalt, aqua, citron and magenta.
Salvatore Ferragamo
Men, let’s get loud. Colours are the brand’s focus and can be seen on the clothes, leather accessories and shoes. The colours include Hedren Green, Vertigo Mauve, Technicolor Yellow, Lobster Mousse and Bodega Bay Sky. The names are taken from Alfred Hitchcock movies, much loved by creative director Paul Andrew.
Tod’s
The safari jackets of the 1970s are back at the house of Tod’s. Creative director Walter Chiapponi pays homage to this iconic look and gave it his eccentric twist to it. The spirit of the urban traveller is captured in the four patch pockets of the field jacket, a must for the season in drill or washed suede. The same nonchalant perfection is found in the polo shirt, the shirt with patch pockets, in the soft pullovers and loose trousers.
Hermès
Casual and elegant are ways a man can look his sartorial best when it comes to Hermès. For a bit of fun go bold with graphic signatures, distorted pockets with playful asymmetrical touches. Or try parkas with hood, biker blousons with high collar, zipped straight blousons with contrasted double stitched pocket, over-shirts with hood or zipped with high collar, zipped straight blousons, over-shirts or zipped t-shirts with saddle stitching, cardigans with zipped high collar paired with fashionable jogging pants. The choices are endless.
