ChristmasTime with Dick Lee
According to singer and composer Dick Lee, it’s been 20 years since he’s done a Christmas show. “If there has ever been a year where we have all needed some Christmas cheer, 2021 is it!” he utters.
Cue the jingles as Lee brings the nostalgia of a traditional holiday treat back with his favourite Christmas tunes at this two-night showcase on Dec 22 and 23 at Sands Theatre, brought to you by Base Entertainment. ChristmasTime with Dick Lee is a 90-minute concert that will feature some of Lee’s favourite holiday songs, which he has been eager to perform for years, including It’s The Most Wonderful Time, It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, All I Want For Christmas, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Last Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
Lee will also be joined by premier acapella group Vocaluptuous, of which Lee’s brother John is a member, and aspiring local band Third Degree. Tickets range between $68 and $178 and can be purchased from Sistic or Marina Bay Sands.

Reignite - Kit Chan “Live” in Concert
This Christmas season, Singapore’s most beloved artiste Kit Chan returns to the stage with Reignite - Kit Chan “Live” in Concert with four shows from Dec 16–19 at the Sands Theatre Centered on the themes of restarting and renewing, Kit Chan hopes to inspire positivity and reignite this flame through her brand of heartfelt English and Mandarin ballads, eclectic stage repertoire and engaging live performance. Audiences can look forward to the “star on the tree” — a special Christmas segment, which is a first for Kit. Tickets range between $88 and $198 (a VIP ticket where you get post-show passes to meet with Chan) from Sistic and Marina Bay Sands.

This is Live! Concert Series
After last month’s successful ‘Mandopop Evenings’ pop-up concert, This is Live! concert series returns with ‘Pop Rock Evenings’ on Dec 17 and 18 at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Field Hall. Get ready for nostalgic tunes like Million Reasons, Faithfully, Somewhere Only We Know and Hotel California by Timbre’s former resident band SuperSonic, and rock maven Shirlyn + The UnXpected — both popular fixtures in the local nightlife scene. The two-day affair will be broken up into sunset (6pm) and starlight (9pm) sessions each showcasing thematic genres like Pop Band Favourites, Women In Music, To Christmas, with Love, and Rock Acoustic. How to be a DJ
Zouk Music Academy
Zouk’s elite resident DJs will be wearing their teaching hats to conduct DJ courses for those interested to pursue a career in music or just want to pick up a new hobby. Helmed by respected veterans, Jeremy Boon, Hong, Ghetto and Nash D, Zouk Music Academy brings an extensive range of music genres and technical styles with three types of classes.
The trial class ($49 for 1 session) will teach you the fundamentals of DJing, the basics of DJ equipment and software, basic beat matching, music tempo and music cueing. In the beginner class ($420 for 5 sessions), you’ll learn more about the hardware and software, song structuring, music cueing, beat-alignment and mixing, multi-genre transitions and music programming. In the intermediate class ($450 for 5 sessions), you master trick mixing, basic scratching, live mashups, set structure, opening sets, and more.

Tokidoki virtual run
AIA Singapore
AIA Singapore will host Southeast Asia’s first Tokidoki-themed virtual run — from Dec 17 to Jan 31 — featuring a hybrid format combining in-person and virtual elements with plenty of attractions and prizes to be won.
During this 46-day period, participants will be able to clock distances at their own pace and convenience, anytime and anywhere during the event period, by tracking their progress on 42Race’s app. These curated routes around Singapore will also feature checkpoints with QR codes for participants to win exclusive prizes when they complete missions along the way.
Three hundred Tokidoki fans will also get a chance to meet iconic Tokidoki mascots in-person and receive additional exclusive Tokidoki gifts simply by purchasing the $55 meet-and-greet experience package. Zero-carbon gondola ride
Sky Helix Sentosa
The first carbon-neutral attraction on Sentosa and Singapore’s highest open-air panoramic ride, the SkyHelix Sentosa is now open for rides. Located at Imbiah Lookout, SkyHelix is a gondola ride that reveals breathtaking views as it gently rotates 35 metres above ground along a vertical helix-like structure.
Guests will enjoy unparalleled 360° sights of Sentosa and the developing Greater Southern Waterfront while dangling their feet in the air. The ride’s apex is 79 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest vantage points on Sentosa. During the “flight”, guests will be seated for 12 minutes which includes 10 minutes at the peak, where the gondola will slowly rotate. During the ascent, rotation and descent, guests can enjoy a cool beverage exclusively created for SkyHelix Sentosa by the team behind Dusk Restaurant & Bar located at Mount Faber Peak.
The attraction will also offer unique ready-to-drink cocktails available for purchase at the open-air snack bar. Held at Lumine Singapore from now till Jan 5, this third edition of Into The Woods introduces the ideas and innovations of a new generation of craftspeople dedicated to preserving the Yoshino forests. The floral exhibition open now till Jan 3 comes complete with an 8m-tall cupcake ferris wheel and other larger-than-life non-edible treats such as a candied apple Christmas carriage, candy canes and gingerbread decorations in the shape of animals.
