Hailed as "colourful", "daring" and "emotional", this exhibition in honour of the slain designer will showcase his trailblazing fashion creations as well as the drawings, interior design and footage of legendary catwalk shows, particularly from his peak years between 1989 and 1997. All items on display have been meticulously and thoughtfully sourced from private collections and are curated by Versace experts Karl von der Ahé and Saskia Lubnow.

The works of two fashion heavyweights are being juxtaposed for the first time with some of their most iconic designs at the Museum at FIT in New York City. The exhibition is not just about the legacy of the legendary designers, but also their innovative construction methods and the exquisite craftsmanship of their ateliers. All these are illustrated through more than 60 garments and ensembles drawn exclusively from the museum’s permanent collection.

This tribute to the late American designer Virgil Abloh is a retrospective devoted to all of his work in the fields of art and fashion. His visionary spirit is evident in creations and garments, as well as collaborations that he mastered to a tee. Visitors will be able to admire pieces created for Abloh’s Off-White label, as well as clothing and accessories from his men’s collections for Louis Vuitton, plus sculptures, sketches and numerous archive documents.

DIOR HATS: THE ART OF THE HAT FROM CHRISTIAN DIOR TO STEPHEN JONES

Musée Christian Dior in Granville is paying tribute to Dior’s art of the hat — creations perhaps less well known than the couturier’s outfits. No fewer than 200 models have been brought together, alongside haute couture dresses, photographs and archive documents, recalling how important the hat was to Christian Dior, who considered it an essential accessory of female grooming. Visitors will get to discover the work of his successors, including Yves Saint Laurent and Maria Grazia Chiuri, as well as creations by milliner to the stars Stephen Jones, who served for 25 years as creative director of Dior hats.
