Amber Lounge
The Amber Lounge afterparty will mark its 20th anniversary with a return to The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore’s Clifford Pier on Sept 21 and 22.
In a Singapore-first move, a luxury Nomad 65 ft Fly yacht activation will take place at Clifford Pier during the afterparty. American DJ Austin Millz and homegrown beatboxer Dharni are among the live acts set to perform, while Night Hawk — which clinched 16th position on this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Bars list — will be helming the bar.

Individual VIP passes to Amber Lounge, which grant access to all areas of the club and free seating areas, as well as selected free-flow beverages, start at $800++ on Sept 21 and $1,250++ on Sept 22. VIP tables, Amber Suites and a new Diamond Suites tier are also available for booking on Amber Lounge’s website.
Purist Supercar Drive

This one’s for the motorheads — and the Mandopop fans. Come Sept 18, The Asia Gala and Purist Group will be hosting a supercar drive and luncheon featuring homegrown idol JJ Lin. The route will take participants from Millenia Walk through town, culminating at Capella Singapore, where the luncheon will take place.
As a means of giving back, the organisers have partnered with Gracehaven Children's Home by The Salvation Army. The home offers young persons who have been through abuse or neglect a safe environment to live and regrow. During the ride, participants can choose to share their ride with a youth from the home.
Tickets start at $380++ for entry to just the luncheon, and $1,800++ for those also looking to join the drive.
Glam Circuit Festival
Running from Sept 13 to 22, the Glam Circuit Festival (GCF) is a free-to-enter bazaar-style event at Kampong Gelam with food, live entertainment and even racing-themed games.
One Kampong Gelam chairman Zaki Maarof says the festival “offers a multitude of experiences that symbolise the diversity and dynamism of the Singapore night race”. Highlights at GCF include a racing simulator station, as well as a number of retail booths. Those with youngins can also look forward to the games area, where players can try their hand at various F1-styled activities; there’s even a prize booth so you can get something to take home.

There’s also a green element to GCF; One Kampong Gelam has partnered with Gorental.SG to “deploy clean battery generators for retail booths and selected activities” at the festival. Gorental.SG’s generators are fully powered by solar energy, and are said to emit “zero air and noise pollution”.
Negroni Week
The 12th Negroni Week will take place from Sept 16 to 22, with venues around the world celebrating the classic cocktail.
In Singapore, festivities kick off with the Red Hands Asia Singapore Finals on Sept 16, held at newly opened Sushi Samba. Reps from Atlas Bar, Basilico Bar, Smoke & Mirrors, Sugarhall and The Backdrop are set to face off in this sense-themed competition; the winner will advance to the global competition in Milan.
A number of guest shifts are also set to take place during Negroni Week here; look forward to the likes of Alex Frezza, founder and owner of L’Antiquario’s, who will be taking over the bar at Neon Pigeon on Sept 17. Other highlights include “DIY negroni sessions” at Allora Bar, where participants can try their hand at mixing a drink of their own.
