FOOD

Kingdom of Belgians

LPB Market

Housed in 8 Rodyk — a condominium in Robertson Quay — Kingdom of Belgians, which opened last January, is a casual bistro by Belgium-born chef Emmanuel Stroobant. Together with head chef Lai Jia Yi, the team has launched a selection of hearty Belgium specialties for takeaways and deliveries for guests to enjoy in the comfort of their homes.

With the recent restrictions on dining, why not try your hand at whipping up something at home. Kingdom of Belgians has partnered with fine food gourmet grocer LPB Market (formerly La Petite Boutique) to offer a new store showcasing premium French groceries that are available both for online retail and at the restaurant. The store will house more than 50 different types of cheeses along with other quality products like charcuterie, fresh dairy, meat and wines. Shop the items online at petiteboutique-sg.com. Island wide delivery is available.

PODCAST

The new style

Zalora, Asia’s leading fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, has officially launched Zalora Talks, a new podcast series around the latest trends in the fashion and lifestyle scene. The first of its kind in the region’s e-commerce space, Zalora Talks comes as part of the company’s plans to further grow its content marketing strategy this year.

Hosted by the former editor of Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia Amy Yasmine, Zalora Talks brings together industry experts and brand partners to discuss trending issues around lifestyle, health and wellness, fashion and beauty, as well as current events like the new realities of celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri during the pandemic.

The podcast will feature personalities like stylist Laureen Uy, TV host and entrepreneur Yumika Hoskin, model Natalie Prabha, Singapore national swimmer Kimberley Chan and Wanderlust & Co founder Jenn Low, among others.

The series will comprise two seasons annually, with six 45-minute episodes making up each season.

Explaining the idea behind the new series, Zalora Group CEO Gunjan Soni says: “As consumers continue to accelerate their migration to the online space, we have noticed the increasing demand for new forms of engagement. With consumers fatigued with Zoom and VCs over the last year of pandemic, audio is the refreshing new choice of medium. We are excited to tap on our guests’ diverse areas of expertise, and foster community-driven conversations about topics that are close to all of our hearts.”

A new episode of Zalora Talks will be available on Spotify every week.
