Ruinart Champagne Brunch
The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore
The House of Ruinart takes over the Sunday brunch at 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung, bringing its world-renowned champagne to the all-you-can-eat feast.
Complement your bubbly with the freshest spoils of the sea, presented in the oyster and seafood-on-ice section. Meat lovers will also relish in the grill carving station, where wagyu wages a delicious war for your appetite. More juicy goodness is served at the rotisserie spit roast section with whole servings of Kuhlbarra barramundi, pasture fed lamb leg and Bungalow pork loin. At the Japanese section, freshness is personified with assorted sashimi, sliced and cut to order from varieties like hamachi, salmon, tuna and akami, freshly flown-in and changed out on rotation.
In between, the cheese station comes with a fine selection of cheeses, which go just as well with the charcuterie and cured fish section spilling over with cured meats and smoked fish galore.
The price for this guilty indulgence starts from $138++ per person for food only, and $208++ and up for free-flow Ruinart champagne. For reservations, call 6715 6871 or email reservation.15stamford@kempinski.com

Women behind the art
39+ Art Space
Following a successful group exhibition of rising China artists which ended in June, local art gallery 39+ Art Space moves its focus onto three US-based female artists in a new show, now on till Aug 28.
While vastly different in style and focus, Emily Cheng, Pearl C. Hsiung and Sarah Lee are united in that they are women of Asian descent pursuing their creative practice in America. Though, rather than being reduced to these straightforward categorisations, Cheng, Hsiung and Lee are adept with interweaving their unique perspectives with their individual theoretical investigations, frequently citing feminine energy, eastern artistic sensibilities, and eastern philosophies as driving forces in their explorations of more universal subject matter.
The showcased works (available to buy) will explore themes ranging from the very humanly structural concepts of knowledge and power to critical re-evaluations of the anthropocentric sublime, to the cosmic bridge between mind, space, and spirit. These women boast rich understandings over history and philosophy, and display visually impactful command over composition, colour, and scale.

39+ Art Space is at 39 Keppel Road, #03-01 Tanjong Pagar Distripark. Admission to the gallery is free and walk-ins are allowed from Tues – Fri 11am -7pm; Sat – Sun noon– 6pm.
