York Hotel Singapore presents the Thai-Licious Buffet @ York at White Rose Café from June 4 to 20, made in collaboration with a team of chefs from Thailand.
“We want to bring the best of Thai specials right to our doorstep especially when travelling is not possible at this moment. The intimate space of White Rose Café makes an excellent spot for food aficionados to unwind and indulge these muchmissed tantalising creations,” says executive chef Charles Goh.
Served daily for lunch and dinner, the menu features Thai signatures like Som Tum (green papaya salad), Yum Mamuang (green mango salad), Khao Pad Sapparod (pineapple fried rice), Pad Thai Goong (prawn Pad Thai), Khao Soi Gai (coconut curry noodle with chicken), Gaeng Kiew Waan Gai (Thai green curry) and more.
The Thai-licious Buffet @ York comes with free flow of Thai fragrant rice and chilled Cha Nom Yen (Thai milk tea), and is priced at $29 for adults and $19 for children aged between 5 and 11 from Mondays to Thursdays. Adults pay $33 and children pay $23 from Fridays to Sundays.

Wikicliki: Collecting Habits on an Earth Filled with Smartphones

The Singapore Art Museum explores collecting in its latest exhibition Wikicliki: Collecting Habits on an Earth Filled with Smartphones, featuring six artist-curator pairings — Heman Chong with Selene Yap, Chua Chye Teck with Cheng Jia Yun, Debbie Ding with Shabbir Hussain Mustafa, Bani Haykal with Chanon Kenji Praepipatmongkol, Amanda Heng with Teng Yen Hui and Charles Lim Yi Yong with Kenneth Tay.
The exhibition borrows its title from dbbd.sg/wiki, the constantly evolving work by artist Debbie Ding, which traces emerging issues around society’s use of the internet, technology, and design.
By referencing Ding, Wikicliki investigates the nature of collections and new strategies for the collection of contemporary art today.
Ranging from mixed media and sound installations, performance, photography and video, the artist-curator pairings seek to drive conversations around their modes of working through focused examinations of their selected works.
From these pairings, a series of discursive programmes will be developed by curator and artist, aimed at engaging the public in these conversations.
