TAG Heuer unveiled the new-generation model, the Aquaracer Professional 300, early this year at Watches & Wonders, the major watch fair in Geneva.
Bold and yet elegant, highly functional and yet versatile, it is a highly robust watch with a luxury feel that goes beyond the edge and sets a new high-water mark: for ergonomic, extreme-performance mechanical watches.
Designed for work and play, and to soak up nature’s harshest challenges, it is a pure symbol of TAG Heuer’s fearless, avant-garde spirit.

Taking the world by storm 40 years ago
To recap, TAG Heuer knew it had a timepiece that would take the industry by storm some 40 years ago. That was the Aquaracer which made its debut in 1978 with the Heuer Ref. 844 divers’ watch with a memorable dial design that had a red 24-hour scale, prominent lume-filled hour markers and a rotating divers’ bezel with a crystal-clear minutes scale for safely timing dives.
It quickly became a reliable diver’s watch and was used by professional and recreational divers alike. In the four decades since the watch was launched, TAG Heuer has continued to push the limits of divers’ watch design and performance.
Lighter, bolder and more versatile
For the new Aquaracer Professional 300, TAG Heuer’s designers create a bold, high-performance, ergonomic watch for divers. Besides that, the designers strove to respect the company’s divers’ watch tradition while delivering design and material refinements. This they did with the Aquaracer Professional 300 that has to be adaptable to multiple environments.
More and more wearers are turning to divers’ watches for their robustness and versatility while at the same time want- ing a watch for both work and play. With this in mind, the Aquaracer’s overall form is thinner and lighter. The case, bezel and metal bracelet have all been slimmed down, without compromising the watch’s core performance features, such as water resistance to 300m (30 bar), while also im- proving durability.
The new watch’s lugs are now short- er while the case edge has been chamfered and polished to give more harmony to the watch’s visual impact and add refinement. As a result, on the wrist, the watch now has a more sophisticated profile and is lighter and more ergonomic.
The Aquaracer Professional 300 collection
This collection comes in seven references, two sizes and a new bracelet fine adjustment system. Four references will have a 43mm case diameter and three will feature a case measuring 36mm. Each has a uni-directional rotating divers’ bezel with a ceramic insert and an engraved minutes scale. Six of these will be in stainless steel, with the choice of black, blue or silver dials.
