Resolutely committed to its journey in sustainable luxury, ethics has been at the foundation of Chopard’s philosophy since it was acquired by the Scheufele family 55 years ago.
In 2013, Caroline Scheufele, artistic director and co-president of the brand, and her team of gemologists and artisans made a more conscious effort to look at the supply chain and work with only socially-responsible and ethical suppliers. By 2018, all its gems have received the “green” standard. And all gold used for producing watches and jewellery is made from 100% ethical gold.
To honour Mother Earth and capture the beauty of nature, Scheufele has created the newly-launched Happy Diamonds Planet, a collection of bangles adorned in ethical gold and set with an array of natural stones. The tips of these bangles stage a pas de deux between a dancing diamond and a colourful bead — made of green agate, blue lapis lazuli, black onyx and pink rhodochrosite or diamond — whose spherical shape inspires the name of the collection: Happy Diamonds Planet. Like all of Chopard’s jewellery, the gold here is also crafted in 100% ethical 18-carat rose or white gold.

Meticulously crafted by the Chopard's jeweller-cum-gem setters, the heart-shaped design — a cherished part of its identity — totals 5.4 carats, with the teardrop design set at 3.32 carats.
