The first Reverso by Jaeger-LeCoultre was created in 1931. This year it celebrates 90 years with a limited edition piece featuring a burgundy-red dial and pink gold case called the Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano. The Duoface offers two contrasting dials, each displaying a different time zone, thanks to the hand-wound Calibre 854A/2. The second time zone is adjusted by a small slider set into the top case-band and completely invisible except when the case is released from the carriage to be flipped over. The Reverso concept was developed when polo players wanted a watch but wanted it protected from the rigours of the game. The watchmakers created a flip-over case without compromising its form and function.
